The host city for the 2012 Olympics was announced in SIngapore at 7.46pm local time. My location? Somewhere in the middle of England in a little town called Ledbury (tat's btw the place i was picking strawberries)
A sms from Ms i-can-take-photos-again informed me tat London had won the bid..oh, good for them..they did try very hard..judging from wat i see..
For some reasons, i felt quite emotional when the results came thru..was it cos London won? Highly unlikely..i like UK yes..but not so emotionally-bonded to it..
Think³..the only likely reason was i knew how much effort & hard work my ex-colleagues had put in for this IOC thingy..had i not quit my job 2 mths ago, i certainly would have been involved wif them..And wif the announcement, they would be able to heave a big of relief and breathe a little easier from now..Singapore is mentioned in the media all the time & i feel so happy & proud of them..knowing tat they're part of the 'mu hou ying xiong'..hmm..kinda miss the camaderie when we're slogging together in the good ole days..esp when u're all alone out there..feeling a little lost from time to time..
